Monster Musings

Interested in diving deeper into the inner workings of the GODZILLA NOVELIZATION PROJECT?

Intrigued by the creative process that drives this ambitious endeavor?

Enjoy reading (often lengthy) pontifications on various Godzilla-related subjects, written by an obsessed but passionate fan who probably spends a little too much time thinking about monster movies?

Well, you’re in luck.

Welcome to the GNP’s very own Behind-the-Scenes Blog!

Or, as I’m choosing to call it, my collection of “Monster Musings“.

On this page, you’ll find a variety (eventually) of articles/blog posts on a variety of different topics, all pertaining to the myriad of different challenges, observations, and, as the title suggests, musings that cross my path as I continue on my journey to novelize the Godzilla films.  Topics will range from curiosities gleaned from the writing process, interesting discoveries made during research, documentation of challenges encountered and how they were/will be overcome, thoughts on aspects of certain projects as they progress, and any random subject that I believe might be of interest to you, the readers.  It is my hope that these musings will offer insight into how I am approaching the writing/research process for these novels, and that they will entertain you as much as they (hopefully) answer potential questions!

(If you have an idea for a topic you’d like me to write about, be it an aspect of the GNP, the Godzilla series as a whole, or something else related to the genre, be sure to let me know!  Leave me a comment here on this page, or head over to the Contact Page to email, Tweet at, or Facebook message me, letting me know what you want for an upcoming blog!  And if you’re a Patreon supporter, you get first dibs!)

Pick a topic, follow the link, and (hopefully) enjoy!  Happy reading!
